AFTERCARE ADVICE
Instructions to Follow for 2-3 Weeks:

-
Protection Duration:
-
Keep the first layer of second skin on for a maximum of 24 hours.
-
After removal, apply a second layer, which can be worn for up to six days.
-
If excessive fluid builds up, a third layer may be needed, but second skin should never be worn for more than seven days in total.
-
-
Removing the First Layer:
-
Remove the first layer after 24 hours or sooner if it starts peeling.
-
Gently peel from the edges, pulling back slowly.
-
If it sticks, remove it in a warm shower to loosen the adhesive.
-
-
Washing the Tattoo:
-
Wash your tattoo carefully with warm, fragrance-free antibacterial soap using clean hands. Avoid using a sponge or anything abrasive.
-
Rinse thoroughly to minimize irritation.
-
-
Drying the Tattoo:
-
Gently dab the tattoo dry with a fresh piece of kitchen roll or let it air dry completely.
-
-
Applying Cream:
-
Once the second skin is removed for good, apply a thin layer of Butterluxe Balm® or Hustle Butter Deluxe® to keep the skin hydrated.
-
Repeat this process 2-3 times a day, both in the morning and evening. Always wash your hands before applying the balm.
-
Important Guidelines:
-
Hand Hygiene: Always wash your hands before touching the tattoo.
-
Avoiding Irritation: If your tattoo becomes itchy, do not scratch or pick at the ink. Instead, apply some balm.
-
Exposure Restrictions: Avoid sun exposure, baths, and swimming for 2-3 weeks. Showers are fine, but avoid direct water pressure on the tattoo.
-
Protection Limitations: If second skin starts peeling early, trim the loose edges instead of pulling it off completely.
-
Physical Activity: Avoid exercise or strenuous physical activities for 2 weeks to prevent irritation.
-
Clothing Considerations: Do not wear tight clothing over the tattooed area.
-
Environmental Exposure: Protect your tattoo from dirt and dust, especially at work.
By following these steps, you’ll help your tattoo heal quickly, reduce irritation, and ensure the best long-term results. If you have any concerns during the healing process, feel free to get in touch—we’re always here to help!
